Ocean Lovers Festival will be staging the first ever JAWSIE Awards, where a series of International awards will be given this year to mark the 50th Anniversary of the motion picture Jaws. The aim is to highlight the balance between beach safety and public education regarding shark policies following human-shark interaction.
Our friend Dr Chris Pepin-Neff, one of the most eminent ‘Jaws’ researchers from The University of Sydney is going to join us to present the awards, explore and celebrate sharks.
The JAWSIE Awards will feature nominations and awards presented in several categories including:
