Join us for an exclusive tour of the Living Seawalls installation at Fairy Bower, Manly, and discover how cutting-edge marine habitat panels are restoring biodiversity in urban waterways.
Led by Professor Melanie Bishop, Living Seawalls Co-Lead and former NSW Scientist of the Year, this tour takes you up close—during low tide—to see how these innovative structures support snails, crabs, oysters, mussels, and seaweeds, revitalising marine ecosystems affected by human development.
Did you know? Living Seawalls were 2021 Earthshot Prize finalists, a prestigious environmental award founded by the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
🚶 Getting There: A 15-minute walk from Manly Wharf
📅 Who Can Join? Recommended for ages 12+
🌊 What to Bring? Stepping into shallow water is optional, but wearing shorts or roll-up pants is advised
🌦 Weather: In case of heavy wind or rain, the tour may be rescheduled
