SEABIN FOUNDATION OCEAN HEALTH LAB

Discover the Ocean Health Lab, a pioneering off-grid microplastic research facility at the Australian National Maritime Museum, tackling marine plastic pollution and inspiring change. Operated by the Seabin Foundation, the lab analyses debris captured daily by 24 Seabins in Sydney Harbour, fostering collaboration among scientists, volunteers, and interns to deliver data-driven solutions.

Joining Ocean Lovers Festival in 2025, this groundbreaking facility combines science, education, and cultural storytelling to inspire meaningful action. In partnership with the Seabin Foundation and the museum, the lab also supports community-driven initiatives like hands-on workshops and public exhibitions.

Free 20-minute tours:

  • Weekend 15-16th March: 10am-4pm

  • Weekdays in March: 11:30am / 1:30pm
